The Endorsement

The HACCP Australia endorsement and accreditation programme supports organisations achieving Food Safety excellence in their products. However, the implications of HACCP based, food safety can be very different for organisations in the food and food related industries. To some, the minimum requirement is a fully specified and complex programme while to others an assessment and assurance as to the suitability of a product is sufficient.

Those organisations supplying goods and services to the food industry fall into the latter category. The HACCP Australia Endorsement, rather than the Food Safety Programme, is geared to those organisations which are required to supply compliant, or 'HACCP approved', products and services to their safety-conscious customers. Such products will be:

  • Well designed with ‘food-safe’ characteristics

  • Non toxic

  • Easy to clean

  • Likely to reduce the risk of any form of contamination

  • Designed for a low consequence of errror in use.

Those products, which meet our guidelines, can to be promoted as food-safe and endorsed by HACCP Australia. Many organisations within and associates with the food industry proudly display the HACCP Australia Endorsement Logo in their operation; on packaging, promotional materials and vehicles. The logo is easily recognisable and is synonymous with an active dedication to consumer food safety and customer needs.

The Endorsement confirms that industry experts, using a practical and application specific assessment methodology have evaluated such products. This independent assessment and verification of 'fitness for purpose' is a valuable tool when a product or service is targeted at a food-safe and HACCP-conscious market.

In addition to the Accreditation Logo Licence, endorsement will provide marketing platforms including:

  • Direct access to a large range of food businesses

  • Mailouts and other publishing opportunities for advertising

  • Web-based opportunities.

HACCP Australia’s approval and endorsement should be considered by suppliers who:

  • Are quality aware and responsive to customers’ needs

  • Want to capitalise on the ‘food-safe’ status of their product

  • Wish to drive the marketing of their product through accreditation by a recognised and practical body.
